I've lived with Chronic Migraine and Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH) since 2014. I’ve also had to manage Anxiety for many years.
I was a Primary School Teacher, Early Years Specialist and Mentor before I became disabled and mostly bed-bound from cruel and constant pain.
I share my experiences and provide tools and strategies to help Mums manage their live with invisible illnesses.
In 2014, when my boys were 8 & 10, I was diagnosed with a rare brain condition called Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH).
This, as well as chronic migraine, made my condition debilitating. I reluctantly had to leave my teaching career of over 15 years.
Working on my life balance and self awareness has helped me find strength in tears and accept my life as a proud Disabled Mum.
Living with IIH means I work mostly from my bed but I’ve been able to find strengths & commit to taking action to achieve goals.
“Your strength is allowing yourself the time it takes to release your emotions and knowing that you need to do this for yourself.” Anne Dennish
